Expect there will be an upsurge in incarcerations if Corrections Corporation of America gets what they want. Might have to start sending folks to jail for jaywalking. I'm all for that.

Zed, how do you figure that? Think the issue that concerns us is that the state employees are dismissed and then rehired as contractors - no benes, lower pay, longer hours... an efficiently run system designed to abuse employees (if one can call them that) and prisoners alike.
It won't take place in MA, but south and mid-west for sure. If I was you I'd avoid those states.

Will, when you hire a corporation, they need to make a profit. So lower wage jobs, less consumer dollars. Government workers are a better system in the long run.
Roger that Zed. Admittedly I got issues with gov workers - namely teachers. They're replaceable.
Teachers have a tough job. Kids are undisciplined and the teachers catch shit when the little turds don't learn anything. I think parenting needs to take it up a notch.
A swift kick in the ass works wonders. For the teachers that is.
No, they have to hit 'em in the skull. Doesn't leave marks.
